After a year long family renovation project
on the oldest house in Crivitz, our 100 year old Folk Victorian
has added another era to her history.
Kathy & Erin Gilligan, a monther/daughter team, saw through
the shabby exterior and lovingly restored her to help them realize
a dream . . . a destination for people of all ages, who enjoy
plants, animals, nature, and just plain life!

With the help of all family members including
grandkids, kids, Great-Grandma and Grandpa, in-laws, nieces,
nephews, and friends, almost every surface of the old girl got
a going over. Oldest son Kelly, with a talent for making wood
do what he wants it to, is our main carpenter. With a lifetime
of experience, Papa Tom heads up the maintenance and coffee-drinking
departments! Daughters Erin and Jennifer are the creative talent,
and Mom, Kathy, a Master Gardener, is the hard-core plant-a-holic
of the group. And don't be surprised if you see a young 'un peeking
out from behind something at you, because that's the kind of
family place we want to invite you to! |

We like to tell people we are on the 5-year
plan, because we have much to accomplish yet, such as another
greenhouse, secret gardens in the huge old pines, with paths
for a leisurely walk, a waterfall facing Hwy A, and who knows
what else we may come up with…… Since we are a bunch
of do-it-yourselfers whenever possible, these things all take
time!
The one thing we are constantly on the
lookout for, whether it is trees and shrubs, perennials, or giftware,
is something "just a little different."
Stop in for a visit to take a stroll back
in time or just for a laugh or two!! |
